Limestone is softer and more porous than marble, but they
are both beautiful for a bathroom.
Whatever you choose, please use honed or waxed finish for the floors to
prevent slip and fall accidents. By the
way, marble was once limestone that underwent a metamorphosis from the intense
pressures and high temperatures within the earth. Both should be sealed whenever you need to,
and cleaned using only warm water and a mild detergent. Never use neither
household cleansers, nor vinegar and water because these products can etch
natural stone. Once a week you can use a
product that is particular for natural stone.
